The milestones and experiences of my life leave impressions that I seek to interpret through embroidery – my means to express those little lingering pieces of information that have no other place to go. I am drawn to the intimacy, scale, and portability of embroidery. There is also a meditative aspect of this process as stitching provides a respite from the stress and demands of daily living. The images chatter to me as I create them, however, I have the upper hand as I anchor them with each stitch.
